News Highlights:

  • AMD and Meta collaborate across CPUs, GPUs, networking, systems and software to power Meta services and AI infrastructure.

  • AMD Helios rackscale solutions will power Meta’s leading frontier AI models and services.

  • AMD technology is the compute engine of choice for Muse and AMD technologies provide Day-0 support for leading Meta AI models.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 27, 2026 – AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today highlighted its deep strategic partnership with Meta, announcing AMD Helios™ rackscale solutions are running at Meta, AMD EPYC™ processors power Meta’s Muse AI agent and AMD technologies provide Day-0 support for Meta models including Muse Spark Open and Muse Glimmer.

This builds on years of co-design and collaboration between the two companies across AMD EPYC™ processors, AMD Instinct™ GPUs, AMD Pensando™ networking and AMD ROCm™ software to support Meta services and its growing AI infrastructure.

“Meta is a strategic partner for AMD, and we have built this partnership through years of deep technical collaboration – from EPYC processors powering Meta’s infrastructure to Instinct GPUs and open software supporting its AI workloads,” said Lisa Su, chair and CEO, AMD. “With Helios now running at Meta, we are taking that partnership to a new scale in the superintelligence era. Together, we are building and deploying infrastructure at gigawatt scale and shaping future generations of silicon, software and systems to enable Meta’s most ambitious superintelligence models and services.”

“AMD has been a key partner in building out the compute that's running our frontier models," said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO, Meta, "We're making big investments in the computing power that will enable us to bring personal superintelligence to everyone, and AMD plays an important role in that.”

AMD Powering Meta Infrastructure, Today

AMD technology powers Meta’s infrastructure across compute, networking, systems and software.

  • Initial AMD Helios rackscale systems are installed and being tested by Meta on the path to a broader deployment in the near future.

  • AMD EPYC processors support the dedicated computing environments behind Meta’s Muse personal AI agent. Meta has deployed millions of EPYC processors across multiple generations and is a lead customer for 6th Gen EPYC™ CPUs. The companies are also collaborating on future generations, including “Verano.”

  • AMD Instinct GPUs are currently used in production in Meta’s infrastructure for training, ranking and recommendation engines. Meta was also an early definition customer for the AMD Instinct™ MI450 architecture, and it will deploy a custom AMD Instinct GPU that is optimized for its workloads. The collaboration is also informing future AMD platforms, including AMD Instinct™ MI500 series GPUs and next-generation rack-scale systems.

  • AMD and Meta have worked together to advance ROCm through PyTorch to ensure that developers can leverage AMD GPUs right out of the box. As well, AMD delivered Day-0 support for Meta's Muse Spark Open models on AMD Instinct GPUs and for Muse Glimmer on AMD Ryzen™ AI PCs and AMD Radeon™ GPUs.

  • AMD and Meta have expanded their software collaboration to large-scale AI training, optimizing recommendation models on AMD Instinct™ MI350X GPUs and contributing improvements to PyTorch, Triton and ROCm for other developers to use.

As Meta grows its AI capabilities, the companies are working together across silicon, software and systems to address the demands of operating AI infrastructure for billions of people. The companies have aligned product roadmaps and engineering decisions around current and future Meta workloads, evolving years of collaboration into building and deploying integrated AI systems at gigawatt scale.

In addition, AMD will invest $1 billion in Meta's equity offering.
