OpenAI’s latest features take direct aim at the app store model

At Dev Day, OpenAI turned ChatGPT into an entry point for app discovery and use, launching in-conversation app recommendations, a plugin extension panel, and a Sign in with ChatGPT identity layer that lets users use their existing AI credits in third-party apps; 16 launch partners are already on board.
