OpenAI reportedly in talks to raise $30B round at $1.4T valuation

According to Bloomberg, OpenAI is in talks with investors to raise at least $30 billion at a valuation of about $1.4 trillion in a pre-IPO round. Its run-rate revenue has grown 70% since July, reaching $40 billion in August; the company previously raised $122 billion at an $852 billion valuation in March, and CEO Sam Altman has ruled out an IPO in 2026, with this round, if completed, serving as a bridge round before the IPO.
