Scaling Git at OpenAI

OpenAI describes how it built Pando, a Git-compatible backend designed to support the large-scale development workloads that Codex generates. Pando stays Git-compatible while being built for the heavy development loads created by Codex agents. The system was developed in-house by the OpenAI team and used internally.
