DoorDash launches an AI agent you can text to order food

DoorDash announced on Wednesday an AI agent that takes orders via text through Apple Messages, supporting commands like "order my usual," specific dish requests, local recommendations, and group orders with mixed dietary preferences and different portion sizes. US users can join a waitlist to try it, while DoorDash will test delivery drones in Northern California with select restaurants, competing against Uber Eats and Grubhub.
